My 1st spike appeared in my plantings. 135 more to go,

 

Looks like some roobahb, too.

 

I have 20 more spikes in the actually 3 that I'm starting to bloom

 

Ironically all of them are just yellow I wonder if yellow are the first to come up. Some of the ones are even from My last planting.

 

We don’t usually see them until august

 

hoping to see them through july aug and sept

 

All of mine do flop over but you'll see a section of a fence that props them up. I'll also be talking about where I will be actually cutting the flower to be put into a vase. stay tuned

 

Of the 20 or so spikes that I see it seems to be all yellow. 5 that have been revealed

Looks great! We plant 50-100 every year then dig them up in the fall and re-plant them the next year. No flowers yet but a few small spikes. Hopefully they will get on the ball. Been tough so far since there has been so little rain so doing a lit of watering.

 

This is the time I would start trimming the flower and putting them in the vase

 

Make sure your vase is heavy enough to hold the tall plant
