Had to clean up a storm blow over spruce of some kind. There was also a small dead tree in the way that had to go. I’ve had my eye on the small dead one for years thinking it was ash. Only about 8” at the stump cut, but nice and straight. Turns out it wasn’t an ash but a HVBW. IMG_1843.jpeg not much HVBW, probably only $30,000 -$40,000 worth! :p

Finally got the grocery store set up. I put one of the shipping crates that I repurposed down there. Only put 20 bundles in it. It will be easy to restock, as it’s only 3 blocks from my house and I go past multiple times a day. Haven’t restocked in Mullen yet. But it’s probably not gonna be too long before I do. I still want to talk to another business 15 miles to the east.
Now that I have an idea of how fast they sell, I’m less worried about keeping up with inventory

Yes. He had called back in May and I got the order ready. He postponed so those refilled my local guys. I then assembled more and waited. The way the guy talked he sold bundles like hotcakes and said probably 500-600 by Labor day. This being the first 100. From the looks of things I'm doubtful I'll sell any wood in July unless his sales take off. Ill still make them up. Kinda need that bay empty for new inventory. You know how that goes.

Load of mostly tulip poplar with a few rounds of black locust. Both mostly barkless. IMG_5707.JPG IMG_5708.JPG Compliments of jo191145
