Next town over, long time mom and pop sawmill burns to the ground.

There was sawmill equipment in there that I built as far back as 25 years ago, and it was still part of the active daily process. Sad end to a local landmark.

That is a squirrel of a different kind called whistle pig and it can climb just kike a tree rat. Yes folks it can.

 

Well urine can do with less oinker lard.

 

I can only take heat & humidity in small doses the older I get. Supposed to be a little cooler (but not by much) after today. Will get the yard work done in small chunks.

Notice the bird activity around the feeders has dropped way down the past couple days. Do have 4 big turkeys who have been showing up most days. I go put some seed out when they come. They have recognized the sound of shaking the plastic container and come trotting over.
We got a nice birdbath and an electric fountain pump 2 weeks ago, hoping the hummingbirds would use it. So far have only seen a few finches try it out.
