I think the police should have every right to shoot your sorry arse if you threaten them after they tell you to stop. If you can't understand the word "freeze" or "stop" in English, see the above lines. I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you are qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket store, or any other business. We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so that decades later they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document; and open to their interpretations. I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor.
The results of pruning by Katrina Harrmann I hate pruning the grapevine in my garden. Cutting off some of the plant always seems counterproductive when what I want is a larger, thriving vine! But if I don’t prune, the plant will not produce as well next year. People are often the same way. How many times have you suffered through a rough season in life only to look back and realize you grew immensely as a result? It happens to us all. “[God the Father] cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful” (John 15:2). God trims us back in ways that make us even more fruitful as we move forward. We don’t always understand it, but rest assured—he does. “Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. … But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of. … You thought you were going to be made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself” (C. S. Lewis, Mere Christianity). The next time you think you can’t bear the “pruning” God is doing in your life, remember that the Master Gardener always knows what he’s doing. And the finished product will be amazing!
