Probably could cut them in half, get twice as many that way!

Those bring back fond memories of my buddy JD and hunting camp. We used to make them for camp, they worked great....

JD passed away from cancer a couple years back, good memories! Those will make great fire starters. I have huge boxes of maple oak and beech noodles packed away in the barn attic.....great tinder. I also have a truckload of homemade cedar planks and boxes of splitter trash (slivers of wood leftover from splitting) there too.. I use that stuff for starting fires all winter.

The one that I used so far burned a long time, so I may cut them. I did make some egg crate ones too for a smaller size. Luckily, once we get going for the winter, the stove wont need to be re-lit much.

Sorry for your loss bud. Cancer is a beotch. I lost my Mom to cancer a month before my wedding. SUCKS! Its good to have those memories though!

I used a little over a package of Gulf wax (1 lb) for 12 of the cupcake cups. I also used dryer lint in the center of it.
Here is the video that I used to do these.

Pretty sure Grizzly Adam did a video on FHC TV regarding fire starters.

Oh yeah, totally. I did see that one. I just did a quick search on youtube and this one came up sooner. The idea isn't exactly new or unique that much.

And there is nothing wrong with that!
While I was making them, my son asked me what I was going to be doing with the dryer lint. I told him that the lint is for my belly button. He looked at me strange, so I just said "what? How else do you think it gets there!".

We always called the belly button our lint gland.
