Not sure if this is the proper place to open this thread but here it goes. We got a nasty storm with straight line winds early Tuesday morning. Our woods is in a shambles. I thought I'd share the situation with y'all. This is some before vids and pics. https://photos.app.goo.gl/2rxRR1FDWhvJsin88 https://photos.app.goo.gl/tuJ17usqpUGLUXPF7 https://photos.app.goo.gl/KKPc3iPttFkLRTAL8 This ^^^ is the biggest tree on our property. Oak. The number two biggest tree is behind it about 25 yards. Also oak. These vids and pics are the just the tip of the iceberg on the damage.
Now some pics of the clean up. I whipped up this makeshift log dragger today from the three point mount I cut off a back blade I turned into a snow pusher several years ago. We are currently dragging anything out of the woods that isn't attached to a stump. Basically anything that was snapped off.
https://photos.app.goo.gl/A54NynoetuabNuDz9 I almost had to go get a bucket full of sand with this one. The L3800 Kubota was very light in the front and I was steering with the brakes. A nice little challenge when the pedals are on the same side as the hydro pedal. 2:13 long vid.
Good luck with the clean up Steve , send pics when you can. If you were closer I would be there with my tractor helping. Maybe you should have a small GTG
That's a lot of trees down, must have been a heck of a storm. No scrounging for wood to cut this year!
Thank you Walt. I know you would. To much on the plate right now to try and organize anything gtg related. Some daybI hope to though.
I only use it for back yard fires and smoking so I'll be getting rid of a lot of it. A neighbor is going to help for wood. After he gets his own mess cleaned up. Most of his is pine damage.
Lol. I have a couple helpers. https://photos.app.goo.gl/c2gYCRgiAFKgjXwr7 https://photos.app.goo.gl/PCHeeuEPu85r5ecM6
