    Some of you liked how the MS290 ran when I posted the video of it in the hickory log. Today I did a video of the 290 against a stock 034 and the Terry Landrum Ported 660. Here are thee specs.

    290 was just rebuilt and slightly modified and is wearing a brand new Stihl RS chain fresh out of the box. This saw is running 87 octane pump gas mixed 40:1

    034 is bone stock and very clean. 185 PSI of compression and wears a brand new 18" Stihl RS chain fresh out of the box. This saw is running VP Race Fuel SEF 91 octane ethanol free at 40:1

    660 was ported by Terry Landrum and is running very fat on the high end as it is tuned to run a 32" bar. It is wearing a 20" bar with used, never sharpened Stihl RS chain. This saw is running VP Race Fuel 91 octane ethanol free at 32:1 (milling saw).

    Thats a nice looking 034, kinda of partial to those...:saw:. But that 660 was Smokin' Hot...:smoke:

    That 034 is super mint. The 660 is pretty quick.

    Here is the 034. Just did seals, carb kit, fuel line, impulse hose, filter, new bar and chain.

    Dang!! That's a mint 034!! :thumbs:

    The 290 still beat that 034 though. The 1st cut I didn't count on the 034 (came out of cut , but still about 8.5 sec).

    That 660 is moving through the wood. Twice as fast as the 290 or 034!! :dex:

    Man that 290 cuts good. I've been looking for 290, 310, 390 for a while but I can't find one reasonably priced.

    Welcome to FHC 94Bullitt... Yea, getting a good price on a 290 is hard most of the time unless you stumble on it...

    Thanks for the welcome. I'm not in a hurry to find a 290. I'd really prefer to find a 390. I'll be patient and wait for a deal to come along.
