Red Oak

Man was it hot. Guy had a person cut down a tree. Cutter took all the small stuff then told him he did not have a saw big enough to cut the rest. Got the call to go look at it. 32-28 inch diameter. Time to start cutting.

The cutter could fell it and cut the trunk up, but didn’t have a big enough saw to take the big chunks? Did I read that right?

Some good stuff with easy access from the looks of it. Take it slow in the heat.

 

Some guys just don't like dealing with the big stuff, do they. It is hard work but the wood adds up pretty quickly.

You are right . I just chalk it up to light weight . This is how I end up with the most of my wood.

 

Slow and steady as it goes. Can not believe how much liquid you can go through when doing this in warmer than normal heat. It’s all good.

 

You are so right about the heat. Try to keep it clean here, nice folks on here .

 

Ash is pretty nice, but I've never had Oak that I split
