Bought a new Echo 4910 on Ebay $305 with shipping. I hope it satisfies my need for a light weight 50cc saw.
I own the other version of it. If you get any fines past the filter, fatten up the area where the air horn gasket is just a little and then put the gasket back on. ( I used teflon tape, cuople of layers in the groove. Almost zero fines now.
Can’t remember the details at all, but a guy came up with a kit to put a canister style air filter on them by spacing up the air filter cover and using a different elbow.
I'm aware of it, but my bodge seems to be doing the trick so far. Not my idea...this fellow. Also should say...short of the filter fitment issue...these saws are just great.
Congratulations on the new saw. If you really want to see that saw become an animal, send it to huskihl for the Xtra sausage fix. Almost doubles the HP...
