Brad has given me a couple bags of BL splitter trash for kindling in the past. As long as the pieces are on the thin side, they light readily and hold a flame for a while.

Kind of an unintentional experiment I tried a couple years ago. Had a bunch of sweet, clean and weathered barkless rounds staged and was splitting on clean grass so I put a tarp down to catch the crumbs. Ended up bagging them. Gave them to him and he loved it. They make some nice snap, crackle and pop when a couple handfuls dumped into a campfire.

I truly appreciate the offer, but I'm pretty well stocked up on kindling after everything I processed from fall to spring :handshake:

Started stacking yesterday. 1/6 done. Stack is 12' long and 6'9" tall. When full it will hold five cords. IMG_5634.JPG

Stacked another half row this morning. (no pics but it happened) No time later today. Ill top that one off tomorrow and maybe more.
Dump run with some brush from a job this afternoon. Shocked to find dead barkless BL there. I've scrounged fresh cut green, but never dead. I can spot this stuff from a mile away. IMG_5645.JPG

I was totally floored to see it there. Very little wood to scrounge as it was mostly brush. There was probably more buried but didn't feeling like excavating. New company running the compost center and not sure if I'm allowed to take any.

:dex: Nice! Every time I make a fresh stack like that I admire my handy work for several days/weeks. It’s very satisfying.

I stopped doing that as I'm too anal retentive and see areas where I don't like the stack! :loco:

Finished the second row and started a third this morning. Nice and shady there. Had time after work so stacked some more.

Third row almost done. More stacking tomorrow and I'll bring the 241 to cut up some skinnies.

Few hours this afternoon cutting splitting and stacking. Finished third row and got half of the fourth done. All the wood there has been processed with nothing but stacking left to do. I'm thinking enough on hand to come close to finishing the fifth row. Good amount of shorties and nuggets too. I have a face cord to split at my other location so will bring that in when ready. Ill stack more tomorrow. Gotta bring the wheelbarrow over. IMG_5657.JPG IMG_5658.JPG IMG_5659.JPG

Rest of the wood there was stacked today. Still room for a cord plus. Another half cord at main storage to process and bring in. IMG_5664.JPG IMG_5665.JPG
