Get in the wheelbarrow by Pastor Jon Enter Where are you struggling to trust the power and protection of God? Years ago a tightrope walker did amazing stunts at tremendously scary heights in Paris. An American promoter doubted his ability and challenged him to tightrope walk over Niagara Falls. He did. Then the daredevil walked the tightrope again blindfolded and pushing a wheelbarrow. He asked the promoter, “Now do you believe I can do it?” “Yes, of course,” the promoter said. “Good!” the stuntman replied. “Then get in the wheelbarrow!” It’s one thing to say, “I trust you.” It’s entirely different to have your life and well-being directly in the hands of another. It’s one thing to say, “God, I love you.” It’s entirely different to have your life and your eternity in the hands of Jesus. James challenges you to go beyond words in expressing your faith: “Faith without deeds is dead. ... I will show you my faith by my deeds” (James 2:26,18). Jesus is the object of your faith, but what is the objective of your faith? Get in God’s wheelbarrow (so to speak), and trust God will not let you fall. If he has power to create wind and the gentleness to calm its force, if he has power to destroy the grip of death and the gentleness to dry the tears of those who weep, he has the power to protect you and the gentleness to comfort you. Nothing is too big or too small for his love
The world would be a much different place if people actually thought about what they're doing and asked themselves why.
Well i didn't say i have the answers as to why. If i had to guess I'd say it's because you like the way it looks after cause you sure as heck don't HAVE to do it. Edit: If you HAVE to do it, then you already know why.
Nothing at all. I was just answering the edited part... The wife wants it weed wacked. PS...I'm glad you're part of this thread...
I am back. Be grateful for the doors of opportunity and for friends who oil the hinges. Wishin’ won’t paint the porch. So often our listening is only in part; what we really need is a hearing aid for the heart. Man has never made any material as resilient as the human spirit.
