If it's not ported it is just another baby saw.
When ported it is a baby monster.
Notify Kevin and get on the list to have it ported....

If my memory serves me correct, don't you run an XS241 Randy?

buZZsaw BRAD this year I will have had my 357 ported for 10 years. I've not done anything to it to this point aside from new fuel/air filters, fuel line and a couple new spark plugs. I've cut a lot of wood with it too. It's probably due for a new ring so maybe I'll pop the cylinder off and share some pics. W/ a trusted builder, longevity and reliability are a non issue.

I couldn't find it so I called the dealer on the saws sticker. Gave them the serial #, guy looked it up and he bought the saw May 2018. We had some good storms here at that time including tornadoes. Didn't check the solenoid though.

Stopped at a local OPE dealer today and no fuel filters in stock for this saw. They are on order though.

Kevin's Echo builds are great also. Almost doubled the HP on the XS4910

They seem to be relatively rare around here. I've got to get familiar with their product line. I pretty much already have all the class sizes I want, minus a 90cc saw. Maybe one day a 'Red is in the cards for me though.

Saw has been stalling under idle as of late. I hadn't picked up the orange fuel filter so after yesterdays cut I picked up a three piece tune up kit including the orange fuel filter as Eggshooterist suggested. If the saw continues to stall at idle will the solenoid need replacement? No issues with it cold starting just stalls at idles after a few seconds and restarting is tough unless I hold the throttle which I don't like doing and shouldn't have to. IMG_6585.JPG

Willing to be myself it is not the fuel filter , at idle it uses the least amount of fuel , to me WOT would be when it isn't happy.
Mtronic , reset it and let the saw relearn itself if that doesn't work.

3 piece kit? Fuel filter , air filter and spark plug?

Probably need to make a loop of wire and try to fish it out.

Please tell us that you got original Stihl parts and not some amazon special.
You know the ones with the filter that lets particles in and a plug with no name.

Yes OEM parts from Giant Joke! It had started to rain when I finished the cut yesterday and realized they were right around the corner. Guy behind the counter wasn't very friendly and I almost walked out.

I can get half the fuel filter out but shouldn't it come all the way out? The video I watched online showed it coming out more and seems like it should.

    Good you got OEM.

I would guess yes it probably should unless the line slides through the grommet making the end in the tank shorter. Not sure weather or not that one slides through or is part of the grommet for the fuel line.
If the line in the tank is short that could be part of the problem not letting the clunk/filter find the bottom of the tank.

If you can’t figure it out, I’m a buyer at $250…. They ain’t worth much, according to many here, but even less when they are not running right…
