I very rarely work after dinner but I have two guys working and they finished up all the wood I had cut for the tw6 so I had to get over there tonight and get some cut. Goldilocks oak should keep them busy for a little while.

Beautiful logs like these are so much quicker to process. Plus, I had 10 of them already in the spot where they were getting cut so that kept my time down some.

Have about 6 cords of oak cut and ready for the tw6. Been plugging away at the log pile but 30 logs removed and it doesn’t look like I’ve made a dent!

We have a steady diet of heat arriving just in time for my first week of summer vacation.

Make it dry faster...of course, you dry out faster too. Stay hydrated, my friend

Didn't take any pictures today but I got done with school at 10am and was cutting by 10:30. Worked until 3pm and it certainly got a little toasty. One weather ap said it was 92 and one said it was 94 when I stopped working. Good way for me to shed some pounds. Pool hit 87 this afternoon and I have 75 days in a row where I am truly my own boss...let summer begin!

Didn't take any pictures but did a 10 yard black mulch job this morning with 3 helpers and then went and cut wood until 1pm. Had an annual exam with the doctor at 2pm with bloodwork so I couldn't eat all day. I was dragging some for sure as it was 92 with real feel right around 100.

Progress on the current oak pile from the tw6 and the pine I cut up a few weeks ago. Was a lot more pine than I had thought.

Tackled a few “logs” like this so far this morning. That’s all the higher the tractor would lift it. 24’ long and 22” on the thick end, 18” on the skinny end. Wouldn’t fit through the fence posts so I had to cut them to get them to the processing area.

I’m going to Oakland and San Fran tomorrow morning for a couple baseball games in new to me stadiums. Had to cut enough to keep my guys busy through Wednesday. Making a dent in the log pile and yeah it was starting to get a little toasty by the time I called it quits.

How much can they split in a typical session? Do they set their own hours?

    Safe travels and enjoy.
