After work yesterday, we decided to go riding the Honda SxS. Good way to cool off after a hot day. On the dirt roads Our first wildlife encounter... A nice size Nope Rope Very much alive and well 11 rattles and a button A mimosa tree in bloom, another invasive species from Japan, I think. A small country church a few miles from home On another dirt road, we found a sun baked armadillo... And an active kaolin pit mine Another country church... Explored another dirt road...found this massive clear cut And another kaolin mine, just beginning to mine this one... Old house that is now used for a hunting camp... Finally saw more wildlife, deer in the road... And in a cotton field, This was a 200 acre field, before pines were planted on part of it. 38-40 yrs ago, I spent many hrs warming a tractor seat plowing corn and soybeans for my cousin here. You can see more of the field behind the pile of chicken litter We stopped by a friend's house on the way back. Probably rode close 15-18 miles.
What a beautiful beautiful ride, thank you for sharing I can almost envision myself riding along with ya'll. Would have had to kept on going past that snake, wow that's a big ole snake dang!!!
That's looks like an awesome time. I'm jealous! That rattlesnake though... I got a shiver up my spine seeing that thing.
Nice T.Jeff Veal Do you have to be street legal down there to ride the roads? Our lame state has made it very costly to make them legal to ride on roads. The upgrades to be legal here are another $4000+ over the units cost.
So nice you can head out on your side by side and have a drive like that. Love it! Thanks for sharing!
They just passed a law to make them legal, don't have to have turn signals. Windshield, seat belt, lights, insurance. We dont have the insurance yet. As long as you're riding sensible, they leave you alone. Nobody cares on the dirt roads and small paved roads.
Yep, with a big pine limb, it kept breaking, it was kinda short before I had it's head sufficiently flat...
