That never crossed my mind for my prepping stash. Any thoughts on a plastic one or wood and metal one?

HelmsburgSawmill has a real nice mill. Has built in edgers so it can cut a plank in a single pass before the log is taken down to a square cant. Very efficient.

My daughter-in-law was out in her kyak last evening and took some pictures. I really like this one of the eagle and its nest.

I don’t ever remember living without electricity but do remember being without running water.

So I haven't been to the gym in forever and we have one at work. I used to go workout on lunch and stopped for what seems like years now. I go to the gym today to "workout" (more like change all of the TV channels from ESPN to The Price is Right) and afterwards go into the bathroom/mini locker room that historically is less used than the other. I just need to pee and wash my hands. There's an older dude weighing himself on one of those old school scales where it has the bar and the little weight you move back and forth to level. You can't help but notice him because the scale is right behind the urinals and he's wearing like boxer shorts.

So I walk in and he nods at me and I just say what's up man as I walk past him to pee. He's shimmying that little weight back and forth trying to dial it in exactly. I get done, go wash my hands and I can clearly see him in the mirror. He takes his freaking shorts off and starts re-weighing himself like 2 ounces matter. That doesn't even register on those scales. What's with these dudes that just randomly get naked in front of each other?

I've seen them before where they'll be chatting it up in the locker room, naked as a jay bird, and then sit on the bench and put their socks on and still sit naked and talk some more. Who puts on socks before underwear???

It's definitely weird. We have private single bathrooms with showers for gym use at our work gym.

How I'm prepping - much fancier than the old permanent wood ones, LOL

    porta potty recieved 6-6-2024.jpg

Actually finally finishing my bathroom by putting in the floor (it's only been 7-8 years since I redid everything else). So, without a commode for a couple of days. Fortuitous placing of the pellets in the front yard as the porta potty is placed between the stacks and a tree. The neighbors across the street don't have to look at it out their front window. It's also one of the flatter spots in the yard so there is no lean or rocking when I use it even without any sort of blocking.

That’s thinking right there bogieb !
I understand everyone situation is different but I grew up with 8 siblings and mom had daycare in a house with 1 and 1/2 baths. 1 toilet in a home is a non starter for me! 2 mandatory 3 preferred!!

I do admire your get it done attitude!
    Great placement

I figured for 1 person, I really didn't need to insist on more than 1 bath when I was looking for a place. I've thought about putting in a 1/2 bath downstairs, but there are challenges and I'm not willing to give up any of my pellet storage area, so I haven't thought real hard about it.

Well, I have no idea what the kind or color is for the linoleum. I bought a pre-packaged roll at Lowe's or Home Depot several years ago (not leftovers from the big rolls they have in store). The handyman and I had taken off the label/wrapping months ago when we went over my needs, and I threw it all away apparently. It is a nice, cushioned linoleum and a bayish, fax-rile pattern that goes well with the faux rock sink.

    Part way thru

Amazing what a difference the trim makes!
    Bathroom linoleum.jpg

Handyman was smarter than I would have been and installed the trim prior to putting the toilet back in

And, for comparison, here is how it had looked since September of 2016. I just had a scrap piece of linoleum between the tub and sink to keep the floor from getting wet.
