Buy genuine echo line. I used a bunch of Tygon line and it hardened up after a couple years of non ethanol fuel. Not brittle yet but stiff. I switched to echo line and that has been great so far. I got it from this place. There are two sizes they offer. ECHO Fuel Line 3mm OD / 5mm OD / 3/16” OD (By the Foot or 25’ Roll)
Lots of recommendations for Echo line, will get some hopefully today. Thanks to everyone for the recommendation!
Which is funny because I can't tell you how many OEM Echo fuel lines, primer returns, and tank bushings I've replaced (they would turn to goo) before they got their #2 together.
I was gonna do a bulk buy of line some time back but was reading bad stuff about Tygon and kindof dropped it. Was also eyeballing some Hoosky line but it was pretty spendy, or so I thought anyways.
I bought 4' of 3mm Echo fuel line but the smaller (2mm or 2.5mm? I forget) won't be in til next week. The SuperFeed 500 trimmer head will be in later this week. I can get the Husky working with the Tygon I already have. It just means I have to do it all over again when I get the Echo line. I'm not in a hurry this week, 93F all week but cooling off for the weekend.
The bearings were going out in the head of my FS110 after 8 years. Bought a cheap replacement for $27, Stihlership wanted 130+tax for the new head. Sharpened up Before after I found a frisbee in that mess.
