I use StartPage also. And some others. Startpage - Private Search Engine. No Tracking. No Search History. Edit...just saw you are looking for a 'feeds' page. Startpage is blanco, just a search bar.
If you are looking for a news site for a start page when I don’t trust what I am hearing from traditional American news sources I go to Al Jazeera they usually have pretty reliable/balanced reporting. I have also heard good about 1440 but don’t know anything about them. If you are looking for a search engine I’ll have to get my list from work. There are about 50 different ones that Google suppresses from there searches.
As far as home pages go, the weather channel works. Or even better a blank page at duck duck go. Our news apparatus is not designed to inform so much as it is to manipulate, nor is it independent.
