Jesus and the disciples were walking through a field and as they walked, they plucked heads of grain, rubbed the shells off and eat the kernels. “You are working on the Sabbath!”, the Pharisees accused them.

Man made rules about Sabbath keeping made the lives of the people miserable. Jesus said, “I am Lord of the Sabbath”. Jesus did good on the Sabbath; teaching the truth about God’s Word, healing people both spiritually and physically and bringing new life to living the way God intended us to live.
Sabbath – time to spend in God’s Word, time to spend in worship with fellow believers, time to be with family, time to do good for others. Refreshing the soul and rejuvenating the heart. Resting in the assurance of God’s love and mercy for his people. Getting to know our Creator, Redeemer, and Saviour.

For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath Matthew 12:8

Good Morning. 41f and another good excuse to have a fire in the stove. I keep thinking I am done, but it has been a little chilly. Have been burning a fire at night and one first thing in the morning.

 

Morning. It is cloudy as I stood outside before daylight creeped in. The birds are in chorus making it a pleasant start O’ the day.
We are blessed with a pair of Mockingbirds that add all sorts of sounds.

my wife is asleep, so my breakfast is going on the grill outside.

Not a single turkey gobble, which must mean something that is not good news for hunters.

Yesterday morning mama and I made a feed /milk/grocery run, meanwhile back at the farm Tom and Sam made "its" outta 8 little boy piggies.
In the afternoon we wuz all pretty lazy and just watched it rain.....we got 1.5" in 15 minutes when the .gov said there was only a 40% chance of rain.....

Morning all. Overcast and spitting rain this morning. Inside chores to be done. Probably watch the Blue Jays lose again. Canucks are on to the next round of playoffs.
Bookkeeping, some sewing and gathering up stuff to pack the RV. Packing the RV is going to be an all week project as we are leaving on Sunday. After tomorrow, it will be sunshine for the rest of the week - I hope the forecast is right.

MikeInMa Sadly the Maple Leafs fell to the skill of the Bruins. Congratulations to your team. Unfortunately the two remaining Canadian teams face each other in the second round so there will only be one left for the third round.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a MARVELOUS MONDAY. 63°, heading to 73° here in NC, foggy, rain later this morning. Stopped to visit a friend and our nephew in Wilkesboro, then heading home later today. Had a great time at the GTG.
