    I see in the pictures that your home built log splitter is hydraulic and if I am right driven off a skid steer

    Yes it is hydraulic and driven off my skid steer. This is actually second wood splitter I have built. I try to use all scrap metal, the main frame, ibeam, etc came from an only field cultivator. I'm pretty proud of it, thanks for noticing.

    Got to love those shelter belts! We have alot of farmers taking them out too, but gotta be quick to hoard before they burn the piles!

    Some are, but with so many farmers retirement and sale of their land to the bigger farms

    Alot of them were planted 50's/60's with ash, now they are being replaced with a hybrid poplar

    Wow. Amazing photos. How do you get all the wood home and if it were t for this shelterbelt how else do you find wood? When I see pics of wide open skies I always wonder these things.
