But not the typical one lol.
Without trying to say what's generally the "best" ...what does everyone use....what ratio...what do you do to measure out your ratio ! Just curious..as I'm breaking in a new can for use lol !
I've been buying the gas tank vent kits online. Basically a tire valve stem. Love this combo of can spout and vent.

I mix in one gallon quantities . My saws..weadeater..cultivator etc..usually allow me to use it up quicker..and I never end up with bad gas .

    I mix about 40:1..sometimes 44:1 when I'm feeling crazy !
I use a Ratio Rite cup that bought 35 years ago when I was bringing home every chainsaw and snowmobile abandoned in my town lol.

By the way..never blew a 2-stroke up yet to date !
I believe consistency is more of the key..over brand of 2 stroke oil mix .

Same setup here, I run my saws at 40:1. I've been using the ratio rite since I was about 13 years old when I got my first 2 stroke. Dump the oil in the can, then get the residual stuff out of the ratio rite with a small shot of gasoline from the pump to ensure a proper ratio. One gallon quantities on hand works for me too. I don't like keeping too much mixed gas around lest it gets stale. Even during the thick of cutting season a gallon will last me at least 2-3 weeks. I always buy 93 octane, although one of these days when I'm feeling fancy I'll take a 20 minute ride to the Sunoco station that sells 106. Maybe in the fall when my cutting gets back into full swing.

Hmm. I use the same style gas jug. Never thought about adding a vent. Do you notice big difference? I usually run the mix about 32:1. (Amsoil Saber) Same mix for the older weedeaters, McCullochs and the newer Husky's.

Dominator at 40:1. I use a ratio rite left from my CR riding days. Fill a 2 gal jug with 93 e free + Dominator. I thought this was going to be about bar oil. Unless his plan has changed I’ll be meeting T.Jeff Veal at RK tomorrow afternoon and pick up a few gallons of whatever bar oil they are currently selling.

    32:1, currently Honda HP2.

-THIS- is what I use to measure out the oil, after I compute it. I don't know why, but I don't use anything but the plain graduated ounce markings, even though they have provisions for different mix ratios. Mine even has 32:1. I just find it easy to take however many gallons I want to mix x 128 and divide by 32.

So I'm not really sure what my ratio is.
I take a 8oz bottle but I fill it to the top so 9+oz?? Using Red Armor. Let it all drip into a 2 1/2 gallon No Spill can. Then I seal it up for the next time.
If the ratio rite came with a lid I'd be all in. I don't like cleaning out stuff if possible. I also have a fondness for the funnels with the screw on caps. Nice to be able to label them with the material used and know it is clean with no worries about cross contamination.
As for cross contamination a coworkers dad pulled a empty quart bottle of outboard oil from the trash and used it to hold the Remaining quart of boiled linseed oil from a gallon can.
    He forgot he did that............

That's a deal breaker for me as well. I used to use a Ratio Rite back in my teenage years with my KX's. I like the screwed on/sealed capped container to allow me to mix some gas in the oil and shaken to thin/clean it out and to make sure I get all the oil I poured out in the can. I don't want to be wasting oil by wiping it on a towel and throwing the towel away.

I don't really know how much over 8 The bottle really holds. I said 9 but it's probably more.

I like the vents alot. They work good. More noticeable on the 5 gallon cans though !
Use to take forever filling my Kubota with fuel. Now..open the vent..and it goes fast !
I like them too for if the cans are out in hot weather..even in the shade. Loosen the cap before the cans start getting misshapen lol !

I think when I bought mine years ago..u could buy a lid..but who knows. I used a plastic coffee can lid years ago..then I upgrade to a rag that goes over it..so stuff doesn't go down in there !

Found this is the only brand that doesn’t completely choke me out while milling.

I’ll mix 2 gallons at a time in the warmer months. I’ve been nursing this gallon jug since last summer. I’ll shake it every now and then. Quart bottles are a much better size for how little oil I use. IMG_1615.jpeg
I also like red armor. I also use the no spill cans.
