That's great. You will love those logs.
That's like the ones we cut on the Plantation job and some more recently 20240409_155130.jpg 20240408_133732.jpg 20240404_162915.jpg

I've been hearing that for a number of years now. Don't like the idea of investing so much money into a side gig.

I already did cut a few and it was great after dealing with those 32”+ diameter logs

One good thing about not selling out last year is I have seasoned wood to sell now. In the last week, I took orders for 3.5 cords for delivery this weekend. 2 of them are repeat customers while the other 2 are new.

Cut some of the new logs today. What a pleasure. 2 logs on the forks each trip is equaling about 20 cut pieces which makes for a quick way to pile up the rounds.

Yep, that's the way we do it most times. If we cut to 16", 8 rounds/log...18",7 rounds/log. Hardest part is moving the rounds to a pile.
    Nice work, my friend

Didn’t take any pictures but the original pile of oak logs was 22 paces long. It’s now at 17 paces long but the middle is close to 10 feet high. Not sure if I can make it but I’d like to be done cutting these when I get out of school which is the third week in June.
