Then there's the Chevy ones. They are the ones that don't run.

Nope. It looks like one of those electric mustangs.

Not much you can do to make it look better......maybe shave it's rear end and teach it how to walk backwards!??

So of course this morning when the earthquake hit here in Connecticut, I was running my wood splitter and didn't notice a thing. Engine running, ear muffs on, walking back and forth carrying rounds to the splitter and splits to the stack. My wife came running out of the house panicking. I feel cheated

Come to think of it, there was a smaller earthquake in southeast CT a few days ago. Then a couple weeks ago there was another one in central CT. I wonder if the big one is imminent or if all these smaller ones are keeping the big one from coming?

My wife texted me an hour ago saying she felt an aftershock. I didn't feel that either so I'm feeling cheated all over again :picard:

We live in an earthquake prone area and we get reports about them all the time. Most of the time we don't feel a thing. Lots of small ones are better than one big one.

Of all things in the world, I'm now in conflict with.. birds :picard:

So I parked in my driveway Friday after work, had to go somewhere yesterday afternoon, passenger side of truck door, window, mirror is just coated in bird-turd.

No pic as I hoped it was a "one-off"

Washed truck and parked further back up the drive. I figure one, or both of the robins nesting by the woodpile saw a reflection and figured they'd drive off the invader.

    So.. today there's this..
    20240407_131713.jpg

Not nearly as bad as yesterday, but enough for me to wanna start shooting some birds.
    :rootintootin:

Bird-turds can destroy a paint job, and I just got this truck.
    :mad::mad:

While it may look stupid. :binoculars:
I'm maintaining a passive approach for now.

    20240407_181837.jpg

Blue sheet on drivers side.. no pic.

Hoping they'll get the clue that there's no opposition in the truck.

Next level might be a pic of a falcon taped on the inside of the window.. last step is elimination of the offending parties.

    Game on!!
    :smoke:

Thanks, it's a '16 with low miles, especially compared to the '09 that I purchased with around 240K miles on it.

    Slight price difference of course.

The '09 is not dead yet, and running shy of 300K, so imma get it there.

But @$6500 I've gotten several years out of it.

This one's gonna have a hard time beating the cost/year comparison, and likely cant/won't if I have to run it in the winter.

The '09 was purchased in '18, and I got 5 yrs on it so far.

The '16 gonna have to make it at least 22 yrs. in comparison.
