Once again since I have this 026 torn down for a gas line and impulse line, so what are your go to's for carburetor cleaning ?? While I am waiting for parts may as-well strip the carburetor and give it a good cleaning. I did see this done somewhere ,but do not remember the solution or the time that it was in the solution. I am thinking 50/50 simple green aircraft cleaner in a slow cooker for several hours or overnight.

I do as well, however I do not know its history. So I'm going to cook it. So far its been in the solution for a few hours and the solution is quite cloudy.

I use a little sonic cleaner. And I get the kit with welch plugs so I can remove those for the bath.

Hondabrite bike cleaner works really well to clean up skunky carbs...just spray n soak, the longer the better (but a few hours max) then wash it off very well using warm to hot water...gotta get it all off or it will corrode things later on. Then just blow everything off/out with spray carb cleaner n compressed air

Simple Green/water in a cheap Harbor Freight sonic cleaner works fine so far. I do spritz the carb passages with carb cleaner before putting into the sonic cleaner.
