Have you ever saw what a bear can do in a corn field! Makes coon damage look like child's play.

I am thinking once this week is over, the plow comes off until November.

Have you been using that tractor much? Enough to warrant not selling it? :sherlock:

Yes! I would be lost without it. I did want a larger tractor but decided against it.

I'll never forget seeing acres of corn ruined. Going inside a corn field one really sees it. Apparently they sit down and pull the whole stalk to them. Big time loss.

It’s 18 F outside. Got another 10” of snow last night. Just finished plowing. I’m burning Ash and Doug Fir in the Oslo. 74 F inside.

    Stay warm, teammates!

    Love, Cash

I’ve seen the wreckage from bears in peach and apple orchards in Colorado. They really can make a mess of things.

We hit 66 today, probably leave the stove out until Wed eve. If the NG boiler runs a bit in the morning so be it, stove will roast us out.

Plowed this morning and looks like the same will happen for tomorrow morning already. Probably somewhere around a foot of snow.

The snow was heavy and packed immediately under blade which then turned into a very slippery surface.

The good news is, I didn't dig the heck out of the driveway this time! :handshake:

I have seen what a whole bunch of Raccoons can do in a corn field, nowhere near a Bear. The coons still made a heck of a mess, ears all over the ground, they take one bite and rip down a new ear.

    39/70.
Had a few scraps laying around and that one split of oak. Saved 3 pieces of mulberry last time I had it for cooking. Since I’m getting more, these will keep us warm tonight.

Not colder here! 54 degrees which is so far our low for the night. Yesterday was forecast 50 and we got into the 60's. Felt great too. Now it is raining.

20/62, we had a good Oak fire overnight. Using the pellet stove now.
