Small Walmart near me had six boxes of Remington 22lr in stock-- golden bullet value pack, 525 piece. Bought my limit of three. I heard rumours of them coming in Thursday morn, guess they're true.
Quite a while ago, WalMart had Fed .22's in a 550 round carton- for $7.00 each. I musta bought 50-60 cartons. The good ol' days.
What a score! I've found a couple boxes here and there this year at sporting goods stores, but Wal-Mart employees just laugh when I ask if they've seen any .22 ammo.
That's why the small, non 24 hour walmarts are the ones to look. You have a chance of being the first one there the next morni.

Good Advice IS, thanks! He is a bit of a safety nut, so I am versed on the ones he leaves for me when he travels. For the first 10 years it was the goose gun. I told him if something actually did happen honestly I would be more apt to swing like a bat. He then decided if I actually did take a shot and didn't do it right the peppering would just pizz off the intruder and make thing worse...... Since them he leaves a pistol w the round thing that tips out for the bullets. First two holes empty, 1 bullet in third one. All I have to do is take the safety off and pull trigger twice first. We need to make some changes soon on where he leaves them for me since out lil one is getting bigger.
Definitely time to find a more secure place for what sounds like is a revolver. Not sure why he is leaving some empty chambers, god forbid you need all that the firearm holds to protect yourself.
Thats it! Revolver! I have a great vocabulary but sometimes certain words escape me. Any suggestions on where to put that is secure but easily accessible? I don't move very fast anymore. Who am I kidding, we live in very safe place... But I don't take if for granted. I was enrolled in a hunters safety course before I became ill, I never made it but like I said, safety nut has me versed on the basics. PS, the gun in the pic is not the same one I am describing, that one travels with him.
I'd suggest a safe with a quick access combination panel on it. Just big enough to hold one pistol and you can secure the safe to a place where it can't be easily removed.
We dont have those any.ore round here Griz. I havent seen 22 in walmart in 18 months. And yes wild west its a revolver. I have never seen a revolver with a safety? And WHY are the cylinders empty? If you have to fire in a split second you would have do pull trigger three times and then its too late potentially.
I checked again this morning just for giggles and they were sold out. Heading that way again thrus morning to hopefully get another 3-6 bricks.
