Geez nice stretch of road...where's all the potholes?! That's definitely not a pic from NEO...unless it's about September, and the road was just newly paved! :hair:

That's a bigun! Check out that burl too! There's one a couple towns over from me that has a similarly sized burl at the base that they recently cut down. (Not sure what species that one was)

That’s the only pic I have of the outside of it. It was dismantled and put back together where it sits back in the 90s. It was set to be demolished and my friend and her boyfriend at the time hired 2 helpers and they took it apart. Some wild stories of the two helpers, they lived off canned potatoes and Mountain Dew. Some other interesting details I will not get into about them…

Some of the barn was stolen when they left for a couple of days to work their day jobs. It’s a 7 stall horse barn. We load it every year and another barn on the property.

That’s really cool. I grew up on a horse property in Evergreen. I can smell the inside of that barn. Good memories.

Tree ID nerd observation. This red oak branch really wanted to be a maple/ash/dogwood.

Brookies in spawning colors with rose hips and granite. Old South Bend packing rod convertible to fly or spinning. I believe this was the last time I went fall mule deer hunting on the east side of Washington state. There was a small lake right where we set up the wall tent so I took a day off hunting and tried fishing. For some reason there were a lot of wood rose bushes near the lake. I should have tried making rose hip tea. brooktrout.jpg

Native trout, pretty rare to catch them here...most all are stocked! Nice catches!

These could be holdovers from the old mule and barrel stocking days or more recent helicopter stocking. Don't know but fun to catch!

Remember when they helicopter dropped breading pairs of beaver into the back country trying to build the population?
