Stove Identity

It is a challenge for the seller to get the model stove, they say there is a pic, but its rather blurry. Anyone else think this may be a summer's heat 1800 sq ft ?

wood heater/stove - $300 (Gardners)





Works great, new gasket, glass door, ash drawer for easy cleaning, will use up to 18 inch log. Bought at Lowes, pic shows brand. Very heavy, bring help to load. Call or text cell #828-seven three four-2874 leave message, I will call u back.

 

That sure does look like an Englander/Summers Heat/Timber Ridge 30.
As long as there are no cracks in the welds, snag that real quick. It's an EXCELLENT price.
Check the ceramic boards on top of the burn tubes too, for any damage.
Ask about the legs too, although someone just put a set of legs in the classifieds here on FHC.

 

Thanks for the info, I thought the 30 would be a 20"? This states 18", but then again, they think the stove is a warnock hersey

 

The firebox is close to a 20" x 20" square. I just bought one in March of this year and there are plenty on here with the same stove.
Calling @mike holton for verification on this stove, but I'm fairly positive w/o better pics that this is indeed the Summers Heat that is/was sold through Lowes.

Just received a reply they looked all over and cannot find make and model. I will drive up and take a look tomorrow, didn't want to waste a trip if I didn't to, but the 30 is exactly what I have been wanting. I finally talked the land lord into getting rid of the old smoke dragon.

 

Take $300 with you.
Offer less if you feel so inclined, but spend the 300 if it's what you want and there's nothing wrong with it.
You found a gem...........cheap.

i cant see the pictures the Op posted from here at work (probably my IT guy has them blocked)

but if it is a 30 at that price i'd jump all over it.

 

Oh, and the 30 is rated for 2200 sq. ft.

@papadave I am heading up around 6, had to get some back up to help load it.

 

Take the door off, remove the firebricks, and that bastard becomes a LOT lighter. Remove the base if you need to. I could easily deadlift it and waddle around with the stove.

 

Thanks! I thought taking the bricks out would help, any tools needed to remove the door?

Is the fiberboard secured? Do I need to do anything to travel with the stove?

 

It might be against the law to have your first fire in it going down the road!

Large flat head screw driver and a rubber mallet should work. Careful. Cast iron hinges and bolts. They can crack if you get too ornery with them.

Fiber board should stay in place. If you get concerned, maybe wrap the stove in a large towel or blanket before you strap it down so the wind doesn't get in the firebox and make the fiberboard flap around. Not sure if that is really a concern.

I opened the door and wiggled it back and forth while pulling up to take it off. The pins stayed with the door that way, but I'd pull 'em and stick 'em in a pocket or something.
