I went to a spot in the next town west where the town and utility companies dump wood and allow scrounging, I have talked about it before. I got a small truckload of red maple. The log was hollow and about 22” in diameter. It yielded 4 nice rounds. I had fun and only took about 90 minutes with travel time.

Always fun to check those out and see what's there. Nice little grab.
