Taking tomorrow off. Heading out on a camping trip this afternoon through Saturday.

 

No offense fellas, I'm glad mine are 22 and 24 now.

 

The hummingbirds on my feeder are getting so fat. They look like little blimps. They are definitely ready for their run to Central America.

Those are probably ours. They left here last week, two weeks earlier than normal. Not sure what that means.

Been away for a very good reason for sure. Time with the family. Summer flew by and we had a lot of fun over the summer. Will share some info with you guys over the next few days and weeks.

Speaking of work... I'm still not done with the second floor guest room. Still need to finish painting the stairs, rehang all the cabinet doors and complete refinishing and reinstall those windows.

And tomorrow my sister and her husband are coming for a visit... and then next weekend my wife is gone for 3 days and Im playing single dad. Im quickly running out of weekend time to get his room done before October!

Gotta pull the splitter off my work deck and get the deck off the trailer today. Hang some tools up (finally) in the shop. Make some sorta wood frame so I can store the JD mower deck up on it's edge, and move it around with a hand truck. Takes up too much room laid flat. Continue on the Bilco bin and whip up some racks for firewood. SIL and both grandboys arrive this morning too. ... yeeeeeehaaa...

 

Friday woooohoooooo!!!

I'm thinking about burning another vacation day after I do a few things for the office this AM. Just too many projects to do.


Saving grace is I have 4 different brands of Oktoberfest waiting in the fridge for later

 

Just had my nutritious smoothie; getting ready to load up with lawn gear to do Mom's grass today.

 

Sooo.... our next door neighbors with the newer house (1810 ) have an old barn on their property that was made into a rental unit long ago. To pay for their kids college they sold the barn to a developer.

They tore down the band and now it looks like the developer is going to build a McMansion on it, and today they have an excavating crew up there paving a new driveway. Bas#(*&#$(3 started the jackhammer before 7am.

Not happy.

Even less happy at the thought of having a mcmansion right behind our back treeline.

 

Good memory Gas, Oslo moved from Mass to RI, to a good home of course and the IS is in the assembly stages as we read and write this post. I might have it by the middle of next week.

 

Tell me what IS is. (No, this is not a presidential testimony.)

 

Time for me to go get some work done.
