So we're contemplating what kind of trip/vacation we may want to do this year. One thing we've tossed out there is the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. I was talking to a friend at church who had been with his family and he said it was really good.

Looking at the site, you can get tickets for one entry to each attraction during a week for $100, or a bounce pass for 3 days of unlimited visits to both attractions during a week for $115. Kids under 10 are free. I'll ask the guy at church this too...but not sure if you needed unlimited visits to either place during 3 the days? Then again, it's $30 ($15 each)....

Thoughts on the Ark and museum?

Anything else to do/see around there? Places to stay....or more important, avoid? Places that are "must eat here"?

I’ve heard good things from people who have visited the ark. I have no personal experience though.

I enjoyed the ark more than the creation museum. We took a bus trip there ,spent a day at the ark and a day at the museum. I am a retired carpenter and i could spend a couple of days looking at the boat. We have talked about going back again.

It's on our bucket list, our church runs trips to it occasionally. Many family and friends have gone and highly highly recommend it! Great wholesome trip for the family, they are by far the best ones with the most memories.

The Ark is on our to-do list also...have heard nothing but great things from people we know that have been there...I'm like walt, I bet I could marvel at the engineering/carpentry for days!

It is a great trip, the Ark in the engineering and size.
I liked the museum as well. Lots of good information there, including fossils.
Some of the displays at both places are redundant.

If you want to catch a baseball game, the Cincinnati Reds stadium is 40 miles from the Ark. We stayed in Dry Ridge, several hotels there.

I've been to both. Highly recommended. You can spend the better part of a day at each, although I don't know if you'd want to return again in the same week. The Ark is kind of in the middle of nowhere. I'd recommend staying in the Cincinnati/Florence area. City BBQ is Florence is good for eats.

The Ark is definitely worth the trip. It's an impressive feat of engineering to back up the Bible. I don't know anything about the Creation Museum. We went quite a few years ago so I'm sure more has been added to the attraction. You won't regret visiting there.
