Funny. I only ask because that is one saw(along with the 346) that I missed out on. If only I had known.

The next time I go I’m going to try out a 346 and 357. It was dark, cold and pouring rain when we were there. He has a wood pile to demo saw’s before purchasing. I have tried several 346’s at his place, but they didn’t pass my smell test. He is always going to flea markets and adding to his inventory. There was another 262xp I got my eye on. That’s a saw I would recommend to Husky fanatics. He also has a 362 I will try out to compare to the 262.

I didn’t think they had the zip or power everyone raves about. They didn’t idle or accelerate smoothly and the power in the cut was weak. An 034 super I was also trying out had more power in the cut.

Used saws you need to follow those hunches. Unless the fixing is more fun than the running.

I like my 2 in 1 as well, I don't know why so many folks on these forums bash them.

I'm for any method of your choosing that works for you to keep your chain teeth like razors. A sharp chain is the best performance mod any saw can get...

    Are 357xpg’s rare? I have 2 357s, one of them is a G model.

Not much of a need for G’s around here, so in that sense it’s rare to see one here. If he only has one of something it’s rare/expensive or not for sale.

Same here. I do remove the raker files in them though as I'm to heavy handed and make em a bit aggressive. I do that in a seperate operation with west coast progressive raker plates.
