There's alot of people that have more money than they know what to do with or its someone who thinks there's alot of those people around. I guess if you can convince the rich that it's some sort of a status symbol to burn a certain type of wood, more power to you. Just shows how stupid most rich people really are.
Yeah something like that. If only i cared to not offend people. Lol Unfortunately it seams that the whole "not offending people" has brought us things like this. Like it's somehow rude to email this person and tell them they are outta their mind. Hows a stupid person to know they're stupid if a smarter one doesn't enlighten them?
Ive been known to use "exotic firewood" in my ads but not getting anywhere close to those prices. Thats EODDiver's pricing range.
I'm starting to understand that farwood is sortof like timber in that there is market value, then there is *marketed value.
Are they outta their mind if people are paying it? If I could sell 1/2 cord for $500 bet your azz I would.
Yeah but to think it would last forever is kinda hard to believe. A $500 1/2 cord once a year.... maybe. I sure wouldn't build a business around those prices.
I delivered to a guy today that thought I might be interested in taking home his trash piles of unsplit Blackgum . I told him to make a fire pit and burn it.
Half a cord delivered today. Half a rick to a dude that smokes in Lowe's close to his house and a 50/50 hickory/white oak rick to the Nashville Tractor; a tour business. $450 total with tips. This is a slow time of year that allows me to build inventory back up.
Have doubled my sales over the first two months of this year compared to last. Wait, I have two weeks remaining to crush it some more. 15K+ year to date.
I wanted to stack it all on this rack, but started getting wobbly, so had to put some on the sides and front to keep it steady.
It's good that you label everything in your pictures. It shows the effort you put into your business and your efforts appear to be generously rewarded by your loyal customer base.
Have noticed sellers using the same pictures every year and even copying pictures from the internet and posting as their own. So I date my delivery pictures and place my free kindling bundle in my pictures with my name and number. Grass isn’t green and trees don’t have leaves in the winter.
I can't believe you post your income and tips along with name and phone number of your business. Sure does make it easier for any one of the thousands of new hires at a certain government looking to enforce tax laws. But maybe you allow 10% for someone?
It's all subjective, no? I mean, this could be posted as a huge score. Looks like you can drive right up to it. Apparently, more than enough free room to drop it safely. You don't have to clean up the branches/tops. Easy to process. Not the first choice for hardwood but looks like free and easier that bouncing around in the woods. Might not be that unreasonable after all
Possibly to someone in an area without premium woods everywhere? If it were oak, hickory, osage, black locust… yes. Silver maple? I’m out. I’d rather drive right up to this already sawed mulberry and take it. We’re spoiled with a large variety of premium hardwoods around here. I can’t imagine anyone doing a free removal for a monster silver maple. They’re a dime a dozen. Plus, yard tree so take a metal detector. If someone wants to contact;
