No, not yet. Life keeps getting in the way. Looks and feels good. The stock was a bit low, so low my neck crunched and cracked. I put a rest in and it feels more natural.
I really like the satin hard chrome finish on the Henry all weather. Like high quality machinist tools, a crazy durable finish.
one of mine. A first generation 1873 model with octagonal barrel in 38-40. I always wanted one and bought it as a reward when I won my Office. I also have a modern Winchester 1894 in .22 that I won a state rifle and pistol association raffle in the early nineties. Forgot….. I have a very beaten up Marlin 29A I won at auction because I always wanted one. I promise myself to take a deer with it, but the Model 8 in the other picture is also on the list. It is 25 Remington. I enjoy how a lever gun feels to hold, but being a lefty, I enjoy my left hand bolt rifles for hunting. For duty work I was issued a left hand 870.

My first lever gun found it's way to me over the holidays. Not really a purdy one, but the caliber is the one I have wanted for some time. Rossi R92 triple black in .357. Finally have a companion for my wheel gun. Always wanted a 94, but this'll do.
I forgot one of my lever guns. Henry in .22 with Indiana Sheriff Association commemorative etching. Bought a copy for two of my commanders as a thank you for their support during my terms. Lighting was poor for detailed pics. the company offered these in limited quantities in either.22 or .44, and if you order the limited serial number in one of the calibers, you can reserve the other. I think they are limited to 30 .
Who in here has a 50-110??? I just recently learned of it's existence watching it absolutely obliterate an AR500 target. Clean punch through holes!
50-110 is a huge, huge lever gun cartridge. Unless you're planning on hunting grizzlies or elephants, or enjoy having your shoulder dislocated its really not very useful. Ammo is...... I want to say it's around $11 per round right now. If you're looking for a fun to shoot big cartridge, check out 45-70 Government.
50-110 makes a bigger hole and the rifle is cheaper to aquire. ( I think lol didn't look but surely not as spendy as a Barret semi )
Bear Creek arsenal is making a modern lever gun with AR styling. I saw a picture a little while ago, but that picture was scrubbed from the Internet apparently. They mention it on their site still that is coming.
Just my opinion here, but lever guns are supposed to be blued steel (preferably with honest wear and some patina) and wood stocks. ARs are for matte black and synthetic. They should not be allowed to cross breed. It’s kinda like some people today that don’t know which bathroom to use. So this new Bear Creek is a lever gun that identifies as an AR???
Yep, suppose that is true. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy pretty much anything that will go “bang”, I just enjoy some more than others. If’n it’s legal for someone to own, and Legal for them to be in possession of it, I’m all for it. I personally just like the older stuff better. It’s good that not everyone likes the same things.

That’s true… and I think a lot of it is just marketing and advertising. But the stuff must be selling. And that is keeping the firearms industry alive and well and recruiting new gun owners. So in my mind that’s good.
