It looks like a quality bar. Has good size oil holes not those tiny ones. I just put it on the saw and started it. Looks like it's oiling plenty so far. Hopefully I can stick it in some wood soon. Right now all they make is .325 in stihl and husky mount. I heard they were going to start making 3/8 at some point.
.325 is what I'm running on two of my saws now. I do like the Oregon speed cut bar I recently bought.
One of the guys in the shop brought his 55 in for a little love yesterday. I think I inspired him to clean it up a bit. lol It runs very well.
He bought it second hand and had to spruce it up a little. Pretty sure he done real good for himself on it.
I warmed one of those up for the neighbor a while back. They are great saws for the money. He was very happy with it till he got his 2166. I think he kept it as a back up and for his boys to use.
Been a while back but looking back at my books, a timing advance, muffler mod, and widened the exhaust port and intake port, base gasket delete, new ring and de-glazed the cylinder. I don't think I split the case on his saw. Nothing major but just minor stuff to help flow. I got him square filing his chains also. It all adds up to make a decent improvement in cutting firewood. The only real timing changes were the result of the base gasket delete. Basically flow enhancement.
Was it pretty hot & stuffy down your way today? It was 70 today and is supposed to be 80 by Monday.....it's too early for this nonsense.
That's what I'm figuring as well, just hoping the trees don't jump the gun and get froze up again this year.
