It's not even full! I'll bet that flat bed might hold 3 cords if it's stacked in there real nice and tight...... and full.
I saw a load of perfect 4x4 splits dumped in a driveway. Must be from a box wedge. I didnt see any bark on the splits, but the color was not of weathered/seasoned/dry. I guess it will get weathered in the driveway pile. I had never seen perfect splits like that before. It was impressive looking.
jo191145 has a box type wedge and when him and i processed some TP back in late Summer it was interesting to see 4x6 splits pop out. Yeah the fresh look is a dead giveaway. Although i delivered this black birch yesterday that was CSS and covered Nov of 22. It was well protected so the wood looked fresh split.
I’ve had inner racks that don’t get exposed to sun or rain look fresh and clean. The no bark 4x4 splits made me feel like I was delivering a load of lazy slop. They have improved over the past few years after being exposed to some the ocd splits of FHC folks.
Firewood that is stacked and top covered can look pretty decent after 9-12 months. Usually exposed faces and ends do get a weathered look to them even then. People that sell cheap don't stack and cover, so fresh looking firewood is exactly that.
This is what my top covered white oak usually looking like after 12-14 months. Checked a few pieces this delivery and was all in the 12-14% range.
Didn’t I mention it? Those 4x6 splits come out the other end seasoned. It’s a heated box wedge I wonder if anyone ever cuts down one of those huge ugly free trees and demolishes the house? Toss the saw in the truck and drive away
Cherry splits stacked on plastic pallet shed Oak from the calico shed... I don't know the size of the truck bed in the above ad, but our dump trailer is 7x12x2 and then we added sides. That is a measured cord on there.
Id like to invite all the knuckleheads selling cords,multiple cords etc that are obviously not to load one of my one cord stacks into their truck to show them what it looks like.
