    Agreed!

ACV is very good and I learned recently (yes am not the sharpest tool in shed) that vast majority of serotonin is made in the gut so keeping it healthy is good for your overall well being.

Why many are against using Ozempic for weight loss, it basically puts your guy in paralysis which jacks up the process of serotonin.

Weight loss is a constant battle for many myself included, can be very difficult, but anything usually that difficult is worth it!

I don't know anything about Ozempic. But, any fermented food, works as a natural probiotic. Pickles, sauerkraut, ACV, and kombucha, just to name a few.

It's also been proven (I don't keep every link to stuff I read, just look it up, if a person is curious) that a lot of disease starts in the gut. I know once I got my gut issues lined out, every thing else, kinda fell in line and things started working out better, mentally, physically, everything.

I'm a seeing is believing sort of guy, and I also enjoy "experimenting" with different things, to see how they affect me, and I apply that to most everything in life. Whether it be health stuff, or what method of hand filing a chain works best.

For me, it was definitely the chips and junk food. I cut those out and I dropped a few pounds. I did not cut out, bread, beer or pasta. Priorities.

Kind of reminds me of my buddy that was having a few health issues a couple years ago.

His doctor told him he's gonna have to quit beer and red meat. His response, "well, you're gonna have to pick two other things doc.":smoke:

I'm tapering down on prednisone. Long process as adrenals are shot after taking it 15 years. Maintenance dose is 5mg/day, goal was 3.5, it's now 2.5 (if I can). Long tapers but 6 months I'm down to 3mg. Not so concerned on the lbs though we all know muscle weighs more fat. Losing 8 of 12lbs I gained has not made a difference physically. I want to preserve muscle I still have and hopefully rebuild some muscle.

Rebounder (mini tramp) is here, just waiting for one more item to start that regemin to preserve the muscle I still have and hopefully build up the regimin to make some more.

I'm quite optomistic about this! No bundling up and freezing for a walk on an unmaintained dirt road in the wind!

Junk food and sugar/soft drinks are the easiest ones to single out and eliminate in my opinion. Still, other things like bread/pasta/rice/potatoes or fruit juices are loaded with carbs, so you need to pay attention and not consume too much. I don't believe one needs to suffer to achieve realistic goals, just simply moderation and developing good eating habits.

So I started with great intentions and lost those 6 pounds in under 2 weeks. Since then, I have put 5 back on. When it comes to weight loss, I am either 100% in or I’m not. I can’t snack, drink beer, or go back for seconds at dinner. When I make my mind up, I can hold to it for a couple months. Just haven’t had the will yet. Beer tastes too good and my wife/me are both good cooks. I have a cruise in April. That will be my motivation.

I'm at work and just laughed like hell (I don't talk to anyone) and they were all WTH? So now I need an escape plan before anyone knows I'm actually here.

I’ve got 2” of my waste. 39”to 37” measuring just below naval. Oddly enough my pant size has been and continues to be 34”
My overall weight has stayed the same.

I’ve just been trying to cut back on snacks & foods that don’t really do my body any good.
(Chips, ice cream, etc.) I’ve also been watching my portions & how many times a day I eat. I find myself needlessly eating out of boredom instead of being genuinely hungry. Another negative of that for me is always feeling lathargic. Oddly enough the less I eat the more energy I seem to have. I think when I’m eating to frequently I’m tired because my body is trying to process/ digest all that food. I really need to alert doing some kind or strength training to try & build some muscle mass.

How goes the battle of the bulge Perry long jr ? I'm back on the weight loss train after being derailed for most of 2025. I got up to 210 pounds (I'm only 5'6" ) after the holidays, felt sluggish all the time, always reaching for another snack, so a drastic change was in order. I tried intermittent fasting for the first time starting 3 weeks ago and so far lost 10 pounds, while gaining some muscle via workouts every other day. I walk at least 10,000 steps every day, only eat inside a 6 hour window and fast for the other 18 hours a day. The first few days were rough but eventually the body and mind got with the program. My diet resembles Keto, so a lot of chicken, steak, pork, eggs, plain yogurt, cheese, vegetables, and very limited carbs. The only sugar I consume is via strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries. My caffeine intake is also limited to 1-2 cups of green tea a day, no sweetener. Energy levels and overall mood have improved significantly. Very close to zero hunger pangs while in a fasted state too, which for me is 6pm-12pm the following day. For me at least right now anyway, it feels easily sustainable which is the key to any maintenance plan.
