Cold morning, so it’s rain gear day. Clean, sort, pair, mend and throw away. I go through a lot of rain clothes in a year. Owl
How well I remember it. Working as a heavy construction carpenter in the rain and snow around Washington State, especially in the winter. Working around rebar, in particular, takes a tremendous toll on rain gear. Nothing worse than sporting a brand new set of Helly Hansen or Grundens rain gear and hooking a piece of rebar and tearing your pants leg from above your knee to your ankle! I became very creative at repairs!
Jackie Jackie again Kept losing right turn signals. Housing is worn out from being plugged in so many times. New vs old.
Funny thing, i just changed out a 7 way plug last night. My old one was molded plastic that didn't come apart. Running lights were shorted out. Could twist wires at the plug and make it come and go...
I kept having to use a little piece of wood to shim the plug upright so the lights would work. Enough hillbilly nonsense for me the new plug was $7.
Yep, that's it. The pics below are from the Pictured Rocks ice curtains...those are just as cool. A few didn't form this year because of the warm weather.
Unfortunately that's true of most of my "sawlogs" but I did get a few nice boards out of it, and firewood is just too plentiful around here to be worth much.
Ohio Too-lee-doo...might have told the story here before about a lost trucker calling in to the company that he was trying to find, the receptionist asks where are you, he says "Tooleedoo"
I get lost anywhere in NW Ohio. Everything is flat and all looks the same. I can’t get my bearings without a hill or some landform other than flat. That’s pretty bad. I’ve heard Pataskala pronounced pat Alaska. Didn’t load the other one.
Quick fishing run Saturday to shakedown and blow out the cob webs. No rubber ducky trip, it was rougher than all get out. Steep push you backwards at the peak 12’ swells. 2 ling cod, 1 limit of crab. Good times. Great start to the day First boat over the bar. Couple hundred yards west is the surf line. Always wondered if they have a similar sign back there. Owl
