I would close any credit card that charged an annual fee.

 

Right! I haven't paid an annual fee for any credit card I've ever had.

 

Close it.

 

Not as warm as they predicted, mid-40's cloudy and drizzle all day. Was able to get Tippy lubed, oil changed, and with any luck the passenger tail/brake light fixed. Pain getting the lens off with the liftgate on.

Caffeine! Have to get moving slowly but surely. Sun is just starting to come up and I’m going to head outside for a brisk walk in a half hour or so, and get some exercise in before breakfast.

 

Ha! Sounds like someone went too long without changing the blinker fluid!

 

They said yesterday got up to 45f but it never felt even close to that. May spend the day getting back to the "new to me" liftgate and try and get some paint on it.
On a side note, I picked up an iPhone SE 3rd Gen from Amazon, put my dad's old SIM card in it and seems to be working perfectly. My brother took it up yesterday so sure he's glad to have a phone again. We had to move him to an assisted living apartment as mom just couldn't give the care he is starting to need. He is not adjusting very well at least in part to not having any hobbies so getting depressed. Maybe with kids able to call him again will help, but not sure it will make much difference.

Right on that. I use a rewards credit card that has been paying me about $500 a year. Have been advised not to use my debit card because it is more apt to be taken advantage of. I also use PayPal. My credit union will halt any suspicious transactions. They freeze my account until I call them back and review the activities.

 

There, right there, that is the part I sometimes worry about. Sometimes my kids bring up things they said occurred but I have zero recollection of it.

 

They used penguins at the Milwaukee zoo this year. Same result, early spring supposedly. Waddling out of Winter? Penguins stand in for Groundhog Day at Milwaukee County Zoo.

 

A week and a half ago when it was ice cold, there was a flock of 20 - 30 red winged black birds on and around my bird feeder. I've never seen them here in January. End of February - maybe, more like March/Avril. Haven't seen them around since. I usually stop feeding the birds when they get here because they can empty out my feeder in no time. They're here to eat bugs, poke the females and make nests. There's plenty for all as long as they get here when the bugs get active. I did see a flock of robins a day or two after, but some of them stay around all Winter. I hope we have had enough Winter chill hours for les peaches.

Since they've been predicting a strike, Busch has gone up by $2 at some places.


One of the very few things that hasn't seen up to 25% price increases since the "well.. you know".. happened.. now this.

 

On a brighter note.. hit 45°F today and sunny.. had some enjoyable quality outdoor time with Holly.

Just a hoody on for the shady areas by the woodline.


No robins here yet.. but have seen some geese heading back north.

Very mild winter so far.
