Wait a sec, if they need to be split and stacked then you need to cross 3 off my list. The willow, tamarisk and mulberry are cut to length and on my property, but I haven't split them yet! Not trying to break any rules of the game here. I'll have those three back on the board Saturday but I'm not in the lead as per the rules.
Kinda the same here. I have the cedar, red oak and Norway maple in the round but havent split them yet. What you say 828woodministry?
Technically for the points, you've got to split it to get it. However I assume just keep the points posted this time if you're planning on splitting them pretty soon. No point removing them just to add them back.

Ok, so I can legally claim hackberry and elm and cottonwood so far this year. That gives me 3 and puts me in the top 10 currently. I’ll take my victory where I can because I’m sure by the end of February I’ll be an “also ran”
I have Northern Red Oak, Flowering Dogwood, Pignut Hickory, Va Pine and some undetermined species in queue. I will exploit the gray area of the rules.
Haven’t cut or split anything in 2024, but I have the following in the stacks: 1. Siberian elm 2. American elm 3. Hackberry 4. Mulberry 5. Osage orange 6. Honey locust 7. Austrian pine 8. Blue spruce 9. Cedar 10. Apple 11. Red maple 12. Lumber scraps
I can't participate. I get very competetive and I will find every possible species just to rack up points. I know I have maybe 15 or 20 kinds of wood in the log/round piles. I don't even really worry what is what anymore. If it's heavy it goes in the cold weather pile, lighter wood goes in the spring/fall pile. I know I have: 1. sugar maple, 2. silver maple, 3. some kind of super hard maple, 4. walnut, 5. red oak, 6. white oak, 7. hickory, 8. ash, 9. black locust, 10. honey locust, 11. white pine, 12. red pine, 13. white cedar, 14. red cedar, 15. cherry, 16. siberian elm, 17. regular elm, 18. basswood, 19. aspen, 20. mulberry, 21. hedge, 22. spruce, 23. chinese elm, 24. hackberry, 25. apple, 26. Birch There might be more, but I would have to id them first.
Hear ye Hear ye! XXX hence forth XXX You must split at least one round of a species in order for it to count. Can only go off your good word.
I'll have to watch from the sidelines too. For 2024 I'll almost be cutting Red Oak exclusively. I may get some Osage and Ash but in smaller quantities.
The competition is not "what" is in the stacks.... It's what have "you split in 2024"..... Don't just name off everything you have. Some must not have read everything
