 :rofl: :rofl:  Product reviews are getting to be a waste of time. Especially if you only read the high rated reviews.

Typical light switch cover review...... :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:  Well over 350 words.

"I asked a store clerk for help since I didn't know where they were located. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and led me straight to them with a big smile and huge amounts of courteous respect. Then, I wasn't sure if it was an almond or ivory colored switch cover since they are so close in color. (I'm sure glad the clerk asked if there was any thing else I needed help with) He told me that the colors are indeed close in color but that they do sell many more ivory colored covers as opposed to almond colored covers. I still wasn't sure. Then, he let me know about home depot's return policy. It's very simple and straightforward. If you are not satisfied with a purchase, you can return it. There is a condition to this policy that must be adhered to and that is you must have the original sales receipt. No problem for me since I keep all of my home improvement sales receipts for tax filing purposes. The clerk also added that if I purchased both of the cover plates (ivory and almond) I could match the color precisely before I install the correct one and then next time I'm near any home depot, return the unused cover plate. That's right, he said any home depot!

In addition to all of the help and attention I was receiving from "Tom" (the clerk's name badge had his name on it) he did offer one more useful tidbit. He asked if I was active military or a veteran. I normally hesitate when someone begins asking for information about my personal life but did respond with a question of my own. Why do you ask I queried. Tom (I felt comfortable enough to call him by his name now) said that if I register with the home depot app, I can be eligible for and additional 10% off the purchase price! Some exclusions do apply to this discount but I thought how nice! Instead of paying 48 cents for the cover plate, I could now purchase it for 43 cents! If you are a veteran or active duty, be sure to take advantage of this 10% discount.

I couldn't wait to get home and get this switch cover plate installed. (It was the ivory colored plate just as "Tom" thought) On a side note, I did have to return to home depot before I installed the cover plate. It seems that a tool is needed for the removal and install of it. I looked for "Tom" once again and he helped me find the correct slotted screwdriver for the removal and install. It turned out to not be an extra trip as I did return the almond colored cover plate during the same trip. But, I do wish that "Tom" had mentioned that I needed a screwdriver for this install job. That's why I'm giving it a rating of 4 stars instead of 5.

Reviews are getting to be a waste anymore IMO...most of them don't seem legit...I read the negative reviews first (or at least look how many there are) not too many people that are getting some sort of incentive to leave a review will leave a negative one...the incentive they get is just to be able to vent!

That reminds me that I need to leave a nice long negative review for 'Great clips" when I tried to get my hair cut in Thursday after work. I was on the list, and they apparently took me off the list without telling me. I get to the shop and my name wasn't in the list and they said they wouldn't be able to get my haircut today and to try tomorrow. I told them that I won't be doing that, and that I probably won't ever go back there again. I went to the other place in town and a flipping 15 minute men's haircut was 24 bucks at cost cutters. Before tip.

With is we have an old fashioned style haircut place in town again, old place went OOB after the guy retired and now there's a new owner and it reopened. Still 20 bucks, but that's better than 24. Great Clips is under $15 iirc. But you can't schedule a time. You put your name on a list and whenever they get to you they get to you.

When covid started the barber shops here were forced to close down, so I bought a Remington Quick Cut trimmer and started cutting my own hair. Have not been back to a barber since and have saved a fortune. No travelling to the barber or waiting around for them either. If my hair needs cutting five minutes later it is done.

Learned a little bit about wells today. Gave my dad a hand as my sisters foot check valve had broke. Was prepared for a 50-100’ pull and was surprised it was only about 25’ of pipe to pull up. Needed 1 ¼” and of course the local shop had 1,1 ½” and 1 ¾”. So longer trip to Home Depot but it all went back together pretty smooth and back home for lunch. Honestly the worst part were the land mines all over the back yard from her dogs now that the snow has melted.

Yes, but I suppose there's U haul etc if it was needed. Actually, I've had more than one person suggest a 5 ton U haul would be cheaper and do it in one trip, but then there's the hassle of renting the truck, a lot of hard work in one shot, and the fact that a 5 ton truck wouldn't get nearly as close to the house as my half ton can, especially having to worry about damaging a rental truck ( due to trees etc). So I'm using mine.

Now, when you need one sheet of plywood, having a truck is really beneficial.

    Basically everything but tractor trailers.

I do some volunteer work with a local youth group, some of the kids were telling me that they can’t find a driver for their extracurricular activities sometimes, have had to cancel or reschedule events or competitions. So I told them I’d get my license and they can let me know if they ever need a driver.

All the schools around here are short on drivers.
