I personally wouldn't spend more on HL if I needed to buy wood for a few reasons...One, it's always trashed in my region with what I assume you meant by "frass"...piles of saw dust all over it? The other reason is it's a PITA to get going by itself rather than when it's loaded onto an existing decent coal bed. That said I understand it's a premium BTU wood and seasoning it in my opinion should be minimum 3 years. It's fairly plentiful around here though and I'm sure there's people who would spend more for it. Pretty hard to put a dollar value on it though for people who likely aren't firewood geeks like all of us.

If you knew Brad you'd know he could sell ketchup flavored popsicles to the indigenous people of the Aleutian Islands. Legend has it when he gets pulled over for any infraction, by the end of the encounter the cop is bribing HIM to keep his mouth shut.

A guy wanted to come to my place and pick up a cord. I told him I don’t normally let people pick up, but for $400 I’d make an exception. Crickets   I get more than that for selling by the pickup load, so it’s no loss.

I am a full service firewood guy. If you want my firewood, it will be delivered, wheelbarrowed, stacked and a one cuft bundle of kindling provided. This meets 99% of my customers expectations. I get the occasional person who wants to pick up for a discount. I only knock off $25. That probably doesn't cover their fuel expense, so rarely happens. I bank pretty decent tips on my deliveries, but have never been tipped by those picking up. Crushing it in the New Year. With what I delivered today and orders for the rest of the week, will have surpassed all of last year's January. Finally getting some cold weather in Middle TN. Two of my four deliveries today. Have been making two runs daily to Nashville the past few days since the wife is out of town. Embarrassing to say how many Benjamins have been coming in.

With my diesel truck and 18' trailer, can deliver 4 face cords per trip. Major loading and unloading time though. Finished loading my truck and trailer last night at 11pm for today's deliveries. Wife would have shot me in the knee caps if I wasn't in for dinner by 7. So had an extra 4 fours to play last night.

I have been charging 300/cord if someone asks for wood. I don't sell much because I am still working on my 3-5 year plan, but I have sold some. The folks who know what dry wood is don't bat an eye at my price. I was shocked at first because I really didn't want to sell any, but could use the cash, so I said 300. It flew out of here. I'm not going any lower than that again.

Quality dry wood deserves a premium price. Customers that have tried the cheaper firewood that won't burn are very willing to pay up. I charge a lot for my firewood because I can and it helps throttle demand. If I charged $250 for a face cord, I would be delivering 12 hours a day 7 days a week.

I have some wood listed at $200/half cord. I'm 30-35% higher than most of the ads I see. Haven't had too many inquiries but I'm not sweating it. Working 50 hours a week, I cannot compete with SSI drawers who sell wood on the side, nor do I wish to. Got premium splits, asking premium price. Plenty of cheap wood out there for those who balk.

If fresh cut logs or rounds are listed on fb for 100-200 a cord, then dry split firewood is a LOT more.

Well i finally sold it. I had a customer who is a die hard very knowledgeable burner want it back in the Fall but couldnt access the stack and had to come up with a price hence this thread. Well the ground froze up and am able to get to it so gave him a call and price and he agreed. First half cord went yesterday. It was uncovered for over three years and despite that the wood was remarkably clean. IMG_4765.JPG IMG_4766.JPG I got $400 plus delivery. Any more multi year woods are getting the two Summer treatment. I cant tie up stacking space for that long.

Absolutely crushing the Nashville firewood market. Averaging about $315 a face cord with tips. I deliver same or next day which blows my competition away. Estimating about 15k for this month and have done four figures plus the last seven months. Love cold weather.

Getting low on inventory, about 50 face cords each of seasoned hickory and white oak remaining.

Don’t give in to cheap firewood if you have the good stuff.

Indeed I do. Extra care was even taken into consideration when making the splits. I am of the type who would have it all rot before I'd sell it for less than it's worth to me.
