    Been busy and haven't posted much lately.

    Hoping things calm down over the next couple weeks.

    Here it is at the start. 20140916_101119.jpg 20140916_111811.jpg and the finish. Turned out ok for fly by the seat of your pants and only measure when absolutely necessary. 20140916_122009.jpg

    Caught my supervisor sleeping on the job again. 20140916_114255.jpg little turkey wakes at the slightest noise inside. Slept through half the trailer build though.

    Nice job Jet. Bet he likes being able to help Dad haul stuff now... :yes: Wouldn't it be great if all supervisors slept on the job too? Think of the work you could get done... :D

    @wildwest it's just regular blacktop that is aged as I like to call it. Thinking about sealing it someday.
    @My IS heats my home me and the wife are going to take him to get a new helmet for riding his dirt bike and four wheeler. Darn kid has about everything I wanted at his age. Amazingly at 4 he wanted a hatchet. Not just any hatchet a nice estwing mind you. He wants to split wood so bad he can taste it so I let him help some. I just hope they grow up to be respectful and hard working.

    @Stinny before the homemade job I was constantly tying his wagon to it. Or he would hitch my little mesh one to it. Loves to pull stuff with his tractor too.
    @fishingpol it's only a matter of time.:D PHOTO_20140310_181214.jpg

    The best thing he has is a cool dad!

    My daughter was splitting kindling last winter by holding a dead blow hammer and me holding a hatchet. She was right around 4 years old as she is not yet 5.

    A guy on AS posted an awesome video of his young son splitting kindling with a Fiskars held in a vice, and a dead blow hammer banging on the wood. This gave me the idea but I didn't have the mobile vice.

    What a great idea for someone like me who is inept at splitting. Before we got the splitter, I would always get the axe stuck in the block of wood and Campinspecter would have to rescue it. I think my mother can hand split kindling much better than me.

    UGH. Today the 'little angels' are really getting on our nerves. I get home from work and my wife lets me know our son put a bunch of huge scratches in the TV screen, and our daughter smacked at my MIL (grandma) at lunch.

    NOT happy with these two right now.

    Plus the TV has been on the fritz lately. I have a bad feeling these are omens Ill be TV shopping soon.
