What's up today (bullchiting) thread.

Plowing today as I only "opened up" the driveway yesterday. And of course, shoveling the walks once again.

 

Our snowfalls this year are only here for a short duration. We have been having huge destructive rains that wash it all away. The ski resorts are making snow and seem to be holding on. No snowmobiling unless you drive north to the hills. It has been cold enough, just most of the storms are coming in as rain and wind. Road washouts, downed trees, and flooding seem the order of things this year.

Most of the pic's I post, I get off FB or the local rag online. Lots of my friends send me pictures. I get out very infrequently and never when the weather is bad or dark out.
There is indeed a lot of damage that is going to cost $$$$ to repair. Some of the washouts are right where they were repaired for earlier storms last fall. I thought the blow down of trees would let up but that hasn't been the case. Lots of wood on the sides of the road. Not usually good stuff. Lots of pine and 100 yr. old half-dead maples.

 

I didn’t plow my driveway yesterday. Took the chance on it will all melt off. Only a couple inches. Turned to slush and today solid ice. Well it’s the chance you take I guess. Make a mess plowing or get ice like playing scratch tickets.

 

I think in the olden days, people would sniff tobacco. But, then they found tobacco is bad for you so they began sniffing something else.


Sigh, so much has changed.......

 

Snuff went from up the snoz to between the cheek and gum. Much better for you now. Except all the one’s crying how bad it is for you to da whatever you want to yourself unless it’s “certain narrative” things.

 

I'm off today. Kids are home (8 and 3...3 year old always home anyway), my wife is working (from home). So I'm going to get them dressed warm, take them for a "snow adventure" and then secretly walk off, hide, and ambush them with snowballs I pre-made this morning and hid in an undisclosed location.

 

If IRC the “snuff” of those days was to elicit a response from the nasal cavity to produce a sneeze. Was supposed to clear your mind. Women would use it too…discreetly of course!
