Temp was 0 degrees at 0430 this morning, now -3 and dropping with 21MPH winds making feels like -25f now. I did bring a few splits of my locust stash but should have brought more in. May try to get out and retrieve more later, roads permitting. Still have driveways and sidewalks to work on today.

Currently sunny and 70, heading to 85. Going to head to the river to do some fishing and have lunch under a shade tree... ok, I lie. Just daydreaming.

We had some heavy rains last night, everything is a muddy mess. I feel like Im in perpetual mud season. Currently 46 and temps are going to start dropping. Staging some BL for next week. Small splits of oak and cherry for this morning.

28/70 getting ready to load some cherry and maple, wind blowing like a freight train. Temps heading down from here. Changed the oil in the generator, snowblower and the wife's Mazda yesterday. May flirt with 0 overnight soon. Turned on the Thermgard for the boiler which makes it kick on and circulate periodically, just in case.

22 outside. 70° inside. Ran all oak last night.

Time to reload the stove. All oak on the reload.

Still snowing. Off and on. I'll snowblow again later this am, before noon when the snow is supposed to end.

Then the cold snap hits here tonight for a few days

Even colder now at 51 below wind chill. 70 miles east it is sitting at -70. Flat footin the stove with ancient fir, and the wife is making breakfast casserole.

Currently-17F here with 20+mph winds just for fun.
Didn’t finish the snow plowing at the airport yesterday due to equipment issues ( on all 3 units) and damm sure ain’t gonna tackle it today. I did manage to get the runway cleared, but who knows what it looks like now.

Here’s our forecast for the next few days, Osage, Oak & some Ponderosa Pine scraps to burn the coals down. It looks like Wednesday
will be an absolute heat wave.

Looks like we up here will be into the warmer temperatures than you guys in the south by Tuesday. That low front is really heading south and east.
