Thank You very Much! This is exactly the kind of information that I’m hoping to give my grandson in order for him to make an educated decision with his travel plan!

We’ve talked about going the southern route West on I-40 to Vegas then N on I-15. If it were possible to make this trip in a different part of the year he certainly would but his new employer is expecting him.

They just closed schools for Monday here. This is very rare.

Multiple emergency run offs. I couldn’t actually believe what I was seeing my first time down that. First time up was almost as interesting. Some dude on a bicycle was passing trucks left and right without breaking a sweat.

Here's ours. Blowing snow could be an issue, but the state is pretty good about keeping I-80 open. Accidents can change that in the blink of the eye. Let me know if you want any other information and I'll do my best. Screenshot_20240112_203453_WeatherBug.jpg

It's just plain cold and windy here. I think I saw they were leaving on Monday. If so, not sure how good the midwest will be for travel. Blowing snow is a huge issue and most law enforcement agencies are not recommending being on the roads. By Wednesday it should calm down, but hard to say as there is not much to stop the blowing snow.

450 miles of corn growing on perfectly flat ground. That won’t stop the snow blowing?

It’s even more fun coming up it and heading east. It’ll test everything. You think you got some horses under the hood? This pull will let you know what you got….

Laramie hill will be the least of their worries.

there’s the three sisters on the west of the state. The Highway to Heaven portion being the biggest.

If they go across 70, Eisenhower goes to like 11,500 ft.

Any route they take will be climbing several passes.

Wyoming at the moment is closed from Cheyenne to Point of Rocks. It could be shut down 2 day or 5 days. It depends on how bad the winds are.
