Helluva interesting test. The most expensive bar oils are trash. I felt like the x guard kept my bars and chain clean but my chit was wearing out
That bearing friction test really shows the differences. Bar oil is supposed to protect from sliding friction which that test definitely is testing.
One of my favorite 'creators' had an accident. Been watching Pete for a few years now. Seemed very skilled and not a chance taker. Don't know what happened to him, but it don't sound good. Anybody else watch Paul Harrell? He's my favorite gun channel hands down. His latest video is a heartbreaker though. After announcing a while back that he has pancreatic cancer, his last video is just a short announcement that his time is short and his brother is taking over the channel.
I've never cared about celebrities or public figures. But losing Paul Harrell is gonna hurt. A friend saw him at a gun show a year or two back and got me an autographed playing card with a bullet hole in it.
Yep, seen that. Waiting for details from Pete about the accident. Stumpjumper says it was probably a vine. Only one who really knows what happened was the guy who was there by himself. Though...he may not even know for sure else he may not have worn that tree. Noticed a comment about him from a Game of Logging insturctor who claimed to watch all his vids saying that Pete always works safe. I'm lame, but noticed his cutting style was methodical and not necessarily for ultimate speed. These are the types of fallers I watch trying to learn.
Where did you see the Game of Logging post sir? I would agree that all his videos he never seems to rush & is very safety conscious. Guess it just goes to show how quickly things can change for any of us. Prayers & best wishes for a speedy recovery for Pete & wisdom for the rest of us when we’re out there.
