It's still an exercise in taking stock.
I've done a buncha small chores this morning rather than "whenever".
Laundry and other tidying up stuff is getting done earlier than scheduled days.
There are a few things I don't need this moment (extra can of asprin) but why wait?
Snow shovels can come out of the shed today.

It's nice to have a reason to step back and see what needs to be done. see what items I don't want to trip over should the power go out.

I get rock salt/sand mix from our local town DPW barn. I have some leftover from last year. I need to drag it out and see if it's still spreadable, or a solid block. I'll get more if needed.

I'll start the snowblowers and left them come to operating temps.

I'll eyeball where the parts of my roof rake are.

Snow showers predicted for us Saturday and Sunday. I still have not put the snow blade on or the snow tires either. Its looking like I may not need to this year.

Looks like it will be more of a mix here. I've seen the panick already though. People act like it's the first time for snow ever! Ridiculous.

Right now, Weather.com is saying Saturday is freezing rain early for us, changing to rain in the afternoon. Richmond News Channel is just showing us rain, with a mix/ice line being one count or so over. Showing ice accumulations out towards Eric VW 's way....

Our forecast is all over the place!
One says around an inch the other says 6. Well that's kind of close??

I have beer and bacon, so I am good.

Not sure our temperatures will even support anything significant snow wise.

We got snow couple inches; it’s winter; in the north we don’t go to stores and prepare unless, a real storm that will dump a foot or two..

Exception is schools what seem to close for anything over 4 inches snow or any ice.

As for the forecast right now, I'm technically in the 6-12" range but very close to the 3-6" band on the map. We shall see what actually happens when the time comes...

Fired up the snow thrower today, just to say I did.
Laundry done and got a bunch of small chores out of the way.
I'm hoping this thing hits hard, even stalls and just dumps snow.

6" of snow in Atlanta would be an apocalypse. 6" in CT is just what used to be an average nuisance storm. We just don't get them often anymore. I'm sure as heck not panicking! Just hoping we get something decent so I can take my kids sledding on Sunday afternoon.
