The local hardware stores are just price gouging now. But if you need it now, then you'll pay for it. And they know that.

Pics are from October but I'm starting on these today. Going to try to fix these steps. Chiseling everything out today then drill and screw in some concrete screws for anchors. I'll do the bonding agent and quick set on the next 50+ deg day.

Thank you, day 2 figured it be the same or worse. It's the same fortunately.

My experience with doing that has not been positive...maybe a 10% success rate (have done a bunch at work) but we have a lil colder winters than you do too...everything is fine until you get into those freeze/thaw cycles, then POP!

Thanks. I'm glad someone has experience with this. I thought I would try it and see what happens. The worst that can happen is a have to knock it all out and start from scratch. At that point I might just have someone do it so they look professional.

Dealing with a plugged up bathroom sink drain today...all my usual tricks are failing me today...I keep a plunger just for doing sinks only, that had things flowing this morning (but not fully open) so I put some drain enzyme treatment in, so far no big improvement, that did break a bunch of new stuff loose though! I think I might try the "shop vac trick" after a bit here...I hear that is a poorly kept landlords secret for fixing slow/stopped drains...never tried it before, I'll let y'all know how it goes... o_O

Well...that didn't go as planned. I got there, just started working, and the crazy woman who lives there came out and started harassing me for an hour and a half over the most ridiculous stuff you can imagine. These are the people I have been contemplating getting rid of for some time. She just made up my mind.

Can you take it apart at the trap? Ours usually get clogged with hair (not mine) and I pull out the stopper ball from the back, disconnect the trap and clean it out. It's not fun.

Did the shower drain in the girls bathroom last week. Looked like I removed a rat from it

Had a flat tire and dead battery on my beater car today while out shopping. Not ideal.

Oh yeah, I was just trying to find a short cut...the plug is generally in the wall though, where it converts to metal pipe.
Between the enzyme drain cleaner, and using the shop vac in both "suck n blow" modes, it's open...still doesn't flow as well as I'd like, but pretty decent...I really think the metal pipe has grown shut over the years. I'd cut it open with a drain cleaner, but it looks like they used a standard tee in the wall instead of a sanitary tee :picard:
Clean it up too well then it'd probably leak anyways!

Did a bunch of work on the chassis rifle today.

added a bolt lift kit and also changed the firing pin spring from a factory 28# to a Wolff 32#….

not happy with the trigger goes “click”…

    definitely a solid hit.

    Nope, MDT XRS.

I screwed up. Bolt wasn’t assembled correctly from replacing the firing pin spring.

    pops primers just fine now.

So maybe hot rod saw collecting and running isn't as odd as we think...
