Should I drive the tractor through this?

Now that all the weeds are gone, I can find more treetops from our logging this spring. Have a nice bit of red oak….I could cut and haul to the field edge, but would like to get closer with the tractor. Thoughts?

First pic is the wood, other two are the terrain.

If it were me I’d go through with a brush cutter and toss the smaller limbs aside to give yourself a clear path.
    Just MHO :D.

Cut a trail, short hook/chain the logs and give it a try!

Just be careful not to pop a tire. Cut saplings can be sharp.

Yeah that’s what I figured. I might just leave it there until spring when I swap out the snowblower foe the brushhog. Not that the snowblower is getting much use this year!!

Woods can be tough on (turf) tires.

If in doubt, play it the safest way. Get some cable/rope or chain and drag it out a section at a time. It's not worth getting hurt or damaging equipment.

If the saplings are small just drive over them. They will bend over and won't be any tire damage like hitting the mowed off stubs.

Is there a front loader on the machine?
Drop the bucket to the ground, (nose up a bit) put it in float, drive

Let it rip. I’m at the age where the machinery works for me not vice versa. :)

That would be easy to clean up a trail in there, especially with a FEL.

    I would not brush hog.

First make sure there is nothing that would puncture the radiator. Use a long chain if needed. Sometimes I'll use the atv rather than the tractor if it is tight going.

Ag tires are better for this work.

I sold my atv this year. Hoping to see some SxS come up for a good price.

I still like the atv for getting around in the woods. For trail riding, which is what most are used for, the sise by side is okay; also if carrying passengers.
