Wow. I didn’t realize your area was hurting that bad. Do they have the power back on to most people?

The kennebec was the highest I’ve ever seen it. Thankfully yesterday it was down a lot. Downtown Gardner I can imagine was flooded too. The little Hannaford in Chelsea and the hardware store sit low. Too bad it’s all gone, bad time of year for that.

Most people have it back now. It’s mostly the only a couple customers on a line that haven’t. Or people that had it ripped off their houses. The bigger feeds for the most part are fixed. Staying on it until everyone gets it back. Lineman are earning their pay this week for sure.

Still about 9000 outages. But that is way down. My family all have their power back including my brother. I understand there are still roads closed due to washouts or trees and wires down. I have no idea how long it will be for the local grocery shop to clean up and reopen. in 87, they were a year getting back. We have other options. The Augusta stores are just 6 miles away from each other and there are three of them. For some, it will be very inconvenient, plus there are jobs to consider.

    12 volunteer crews he
aded to ME on Friday after they finished up here. The crews are hoping to be back home in time for Christmas, but it depends on conditions. Article says that ME had around 400,000 people without grid power.

Nice! When did you get it? I wasn't online on FHC really over summer, so that's probably why I missed it if you got the truck over summer

This apple tree was so tangled in itself that I'd cut a limb and it wouldn't fall if I tugged on it. The wood cut nicely though. Gave the wood to a guy for smoking meat.

Had some good friends over today, cooked up the heart of the moose my daughter tagged this fall. Made a mincemeat pie and some moose burgers to go with it. Had a few types of beverages. Christmas has begun.

Hmm. You know, When I redid my garage, my neighbor asked me was I building a church :sherlock:

Funny thing is, a while back I had to do a first aid course in a (former??) Church. I'd been down that road and couldn't recall a church there. When I went looking for the address, make no wonder. Little flat roofed place, looked more like a garage than a church...

That new place will have quite a view, that's for sure.

Bonfires all day today. Fog set in as the sun went down. I smelled like diesel, bonfire and beer when I came in. Mmmmm, Christmas Eve cologne.
